A woman has died in a suspected drowning on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
Just after 10.30am today (Sunday 5 October 2025), emergency services were called to Prahran Avenue, Frenchs Forest, due to a concern for welfare.
Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command attended and found an elderly woman – believed to be in her 80s – unresponsive in a swimming pool.
Fire and Rescue NSW officers pulled the woman from the pool before she was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but she died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established, and police have commenced an investigation.
Inquiries are ongoing.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
