Suspended driver charged with high-range PCA after driving to police station in Kogarah

A suspended driver has been arrested, allegedly driving to his local police station, as part of the bail conditions for his previous offences at Kogarah earlier today, NSW Police say.

About 12.30pm today (Monday 16 April 2018), a car allegedly park directly in front of Kogarah Police Station in the ‘Police Vehicle Only’ area.

Police will allege a man alighted from the vehicle and entered the police station where he was allegedly staggering and smelt of alcohol.

After providing a positive breath test, the man was arrested and taken into custody by officers from St George Police Area Command.

A subsequent breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.226.

The 57-year-old man was charged with high range PCA, drive whilst suspended and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 17 April 2018).

The man’s vehicle was removed and the key has been confiscated by police.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
