Suspicious fire in Arncliffe

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at Arncliffe this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 5am (Saturday 6 October 2018), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway at Arncliffe, following reports a person had forced entry into a car rental business and set a vehicle alight.

The blaze was extinguished by Fire & Rescue NSW.

Officers from St George Police Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police have been told, a man dressed in all black was seen at the premises around the time of the fire.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area about 5am to come forward.

The fire is being treated as suspicious.
