Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a Capalaba business overnight, 21 August.
Around 9:30pm, police and emergency services were called to a business near Finucane Road and Old Cleveland Road following reports of a fire.
Upon arrival, officers located the business alight but was extinguished a short time later.
Two people who were inside the business at the time of the fire were able to escape without physical injuries.
Following initial investigations, officers identified a blue sedan that fled the scene following the fire.
Shortly after, a blue Mazda sedan was located on fire near Goodge Court, Birkdale, and was subsequently extinguished.
A crime scene remains at the Capalaba business, and investigations into both the fire and locating the driver of the Mazda are ongoing.
