Suspicious fire investigation, Helensvale

Detectives investigating a suspicious fire at a Helensvale business last night (Tuesday January 3), have released CCTV images of three men who may be able to assist with investigations.

Around 10.45pm the trio have used bats to break the windows of a Siganto Drive premises, before lighting a fire with an accelerant inside.

The fire was quickly extinguished by emergency services and was isolated to the one business, causing smoke damage only. No one was injured.

The men fled into a white vehicle which was driven south along Siganto Drive, continuing north along the Pacific Motorway/M1.

The men are described as having dark complexions and all had their faces concealed.

One man was wearing a light and dark blue patterned buttoned short sleeved shirt with black ripped jeans and bright red running shoes.

A second man was wearing a black hoodie and black pants with a white t-shirt beneath and black dress shoes.

The third man was wearing a grey hoodie with black shorts. He has black hair.

Police appeal for anyone with information on the incident, or who know the identities of the trio to come forward. Anonymous reports can be made.

Witnesses, especially those with CCTV or dashcam vision of the incident, or capturing the vehicle leaving the area are asked to come forward.
