Police, MFS and ambulance crews are currently at Thebarton where a suspicious package has been found, according to SA Police.
Just after 6am on Thursday 29 December, patrols were called to Dalgleish Street, after reports of a plastic drink bottle containing what appears to be pellets, was found out the front of a gymnasium.
Officers from the Explosives Co-ordination Section are also at the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as West Thebarton Road is closed between Brown and Dew Street.
