Somebody from a southern Sydney suburb of Hurstville has unknowingly stepped into 2024 as a newfound multi-millionaire, yet to discover their good fortune. The mystery winner remains unaware of their massive $2.3 million prize from the Saturday Lotto, with their winning ticket still unchecked.
The winning entry for the Saturday Lotto draw 4429, dated 30 December 2023, was purchased at Forest Road Newsagency, 308 Forest Road, Hurstville. Given that the ticket is unregistered, officials from the lottery have no means to notify the winner directly, leaving the prize unclaimed as they await the lucky ticket-holder's realization of their win.
Forest Road Newsagency owner Steven Wen says he was celebrating his outlet selling a division one winning ticket.
“We sold a division one winning syndicate entry in May, so I was excited and happy to see we did it again – two big wins in 2023!” he said.
“Congratulations to our winner. I feel so happy for you!”
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart expresses eagerness to unite the winner with their Saturday Lotto loot.
“It’s likely our latest winner has started the year with no idea they’ve won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw!” he exclaimed.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Forest Road Newsagency to check their tickets as soon as possible.
“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise you’ve won more than $2.3 million. Your plans for the rest of 2024 and beyond would certainly change with this massive prize in your bank account.

With the winning numbers being 39, 38, 3, 2, 11, and 23, and supplementary numbers 22 and 35, the mystery winner's life is set for a significant turn once they realize their fortune.
There were 13 division one winning entries across Australia in the draw, with four in New South Wales and Victoria each, two in Western Australia, and one each in Queensland, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.
