Fairfield retiree to help beloved brother with Saturday Lotto win
A Fairfield man is ready to share the brotherly love after scoring more than $800,000 in the weekend's Saturday Lotto draw.
"I literally just had a look at my ticket on the computer," he said to us.
"It's fantastic. I'll be sharing the prize with my brother and there are lots of things to fix around the house, so it'll certainly come in handy.
"I've been playing Lotto for six decades! I once won $800, but that seems like nothing compared to this.
"I'm quite busy today and a bit in shock right now, but I'm sure it will sink in later!
"Thank you so much!"
The man's winning 25-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Fairfield Forum Newsagency, Shop 6 Fairfield Forum Shopping Centre, 8-36 Station Street, Fairfield.
Fairfield Forum Newsagency owner Hayden Vu said he was over the moon to sell another division one winning entry.
"I was thrilled to hear one of our customers won division one over the weekend," he said.
"We've sold two division one winning entries in less than two years of owning the outlet, and it was only two months ago that we sold the last one.
"Everyone will be so excited. We'll be putting up balloons and having a team lunch to celebrate.
"Thank you to our winning customer for your support, and we wish you all the best with your prize!"
