Griffith Regional Theatre is proud to welcome back the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for a special one night only performance on Friday 10 October 2025.
Griffith Regional Theatre Manager, Margaret Andreazza said the event is a rare opportunity for Riverina audiences to experience Australia's leading orchestra on their doorstep.
"This is definitely a season highlight. We are very excited to welcome the Sydney Symphony Orchestra back to Griffith. Having musicians of this calibre perform is something truly special, and we know our patrons will be captivated from the first note to the last," she said.
Led by Conductor in Residence Benjamin Northey, the orchestra will bring to life a program of some of the world's most beloved classical works. Audiences will be transported from the shimmering beauty of Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream to the whimsical charm of Ravel's Mother Goose, the fiery rhythms of Falla's The Three-Cornered Hat, and the heartfelt lyricism of Copland's Appalachian Spring.
A highlight of the evening will be Vaughan Williams' exquisite The Lark Ascending, one of the most treasured works in the classical repertoire, featuring Sydney Symphony's Associate Concertmaster Alexandra Osborne as violin soloist.
Adding to the occasion, the evening will also feature the official opening of the ARTSPACE community exhibition, Primavera, in the theatre foyer. The exhibition opens at 5:30pm, giving patrons the opportunity to enjoy an inspiring showcase of local art before taking their seats for an unforgettable night of classical music.
"With art and music together under one roof, this promises to be an extra brilliant night at Griffith Regional Theatre. Limone pre-show dinner packages are also available, but numbers are limited so we encourage patrons to book early," Mrs Andreazza said.
Sydney Symphony Orchestra will perform at Griffith Regional Theatre on Friday 10 October at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office, by calling 6962 8444 or visiting www.griffithregionaltheatre.com.au
