Synergy Welcomes Two New Non-executive Directors

  • Katherin Domansky and David Joyce to serve two-year terms as Synergy board members
  • Rob Bransby to retire as non-executive director
  • Mr Bransby appointed to Synergy's board in 2015

Synergy has welcomed two new board members with Katherin Domansky and David Joyce appointed to serve two-year terms as non-executive directors.

Ms Domansky, a commercial professional with significant experience in upstream gas projects both in Australia and internationally, is an independent member of a steering committee for the Net Zero Australia project.

She was formerly Vice President of Non-Operated Assets for Woodside Energy.

Mr Joyce is a civil engineer with more than three decades of experience delivering major projects in Australia and overseas.

He previously worked as Head of Global Projects for Rio Tinto between 2014 and 2021.

Their appointments come as long-serving board member Rob Bransby has announced his departure.

Mr Bransby joined Synergy's board in 2015.

As stated by Energy Minister Reece Whitby:

"I'd like to congratulate David Joyce and Katherin Domansky on their appointments to the Synergy board.

"Their joint experience will be an asset as Synergy progresses its plan to transition away from coal by 2030.

"I would also like to thank Rob Bransby for his significant tenure on the Synergy board and wish him the very best in his future endeavours."
