Tackling climate change together

What are your thoughts on electric vehicles, car and bike share programs, or a landfill solar farm? These are just some of the proposed actions in the Climate Response Plan we're seeking your feedback on.

Climate change is affecting us, but the important thing to remember is we can all do something about it.

Small and practical actions in our everyday lives such as using our cars less, shopping locally, can make a big difference.

Let's work together to preserve and protect what we know and love about Knox, for our community, and future generations.

We have been seeking your thoughts and ideas on the draft Climate Response plan we developed for Knox over the next 10 years.

Themes we'd like your feedback on are:

  • Community Health
  • Environment
  • Transportation
  • Efficient building and infrastructure
  • Renewable energy
  • Business Industry

Exciting priorities and actions we are proposing include expanding the electric vehicle charging network across Knox, introducing a new mode of public transport with the car and bike share scheme, and undertaking a feasibility study for a solar farm.

This is the final week for consultation, be sure to have your say by Sunday 18 July.

If you'd like to have a chat, come along to one of our pop up sessions. This is a great opportunity to share your ideas, feedback and have any queries you have answered.
