Tails Wagging At Wishart Reserve

Tails are wagging again after the reopening of the dogs off-leash section at Wishart Reserve in Hampton East.

The upgraded area provides an enriching exercise and training space for dogs and their walkers to enjoy.

Works include a new separate pedestrian path to Bluff Road, additional planting and infrastructure designed for dogs.

A double gated entry to the off-leash area has been added, ensuring the reserve is safe and suitable for all user groups.

Other features include two drinking fountains with dog water bowls, two waste bins and additional outdoor seating.

Ensuring responsible pet ownership is essential for the health of wellbeing of the community and other animals.

Here are few things to remember when taking your furry friend around Bayside:

  • No more than 4 dogs per person
  • Dogs must be on lead when outside of the fenced area
  • Always maintain effective control
  • Scoop the poop (and bin it) 💩
