Tainted Property And Weapon Charges, Glenvale

A 26-year-old man has been charged after police allegedly seized cash, stolen property, and weapon parts during the search of a property in Toowoomba on 14 August.

Around 8am police executed a search warrant at a Glenvale property, allegedly locating approximately $35,000 cash along with a number of other items including a firearm silencer.

The 26-year-old Glenvale man has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of weapons and one count each of possession of detached magazine without licence and receiving tainted property.

He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on 2 September.

The arrest follows a three-day surge operation between 12 to 14 August targeting a range of offending across the Darling Downs District.

During the operation police executed 10 search warrants and charged 29 people with 39 offences.
