Take pause for paws to review dog and cat laws

Dog Act Survey insta.jpg

The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries has released a consultation paper to gather feedback from the community, local governments and stakeholders on changes made to the Dog Act 1976 in 2013 and the Cat Act 2011.

Both Acts are being reviewed to see how effective the changes have been in the control and management of dogs and cats in Western Australia and to identify any areas that could be improved.

Community and stakeholder feedback is essential to provide well-informed feedback on the impact of the changes across the broader community, industry and the local government sector.
