Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari, explained that it was a great opportunity to put Bass Coast on the map and advocate on the community's top priorities.

"It was excellent to have a seat at the table, to promote and push for the needs of the Bass Coast community" Cr Tessari said.

"We received some great feedback, support and guidance, and established some important relationships in Canberra."

"I'm excited to follow up on this advice and look forward to progressing our advocacy priorities. We received some particularly positive feedback regarding our Tertiary Education Priority to establish a Regional Study Hub in Wonthaggi â€" this will be a real game changer and we will be working hard to secure funding through the competitive application process."
