As part of Local Government Week, Council is profiling some of its dedicated staff to give the community insight into the variety of services provided.
Mayor Patricia White said the week was a great time to put the spotlight on staff who love what they do and work hard to deliver services for the community.
"Council delivers a vast array of essential services while also overseeing millions of dollars in community infrastructure and public assets, including the roads you drive on, footpaths you use and the parks you enjoy," Cr White said.
"People working for Council are passionate about providing the vital services and wonderful amenities that enrich our lives. From engineers to librarians to safety officers, our people are always working to improve community wellbeing and enhance liveability," she said.
"Head to our social media channels every day this week and you'll get a real taste for the wonderful staff we have here at Shoalhaven City Council."
There are also free activities on offer throughout Local Government Week and these include:
- Worrigee Cemetery Open Day at the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens and Lawn Cemetery. Friday 8 August, 9am – 11.30am. More details online.
- Shoalhaven Water Open Day at the Nowra Wastewater Treatment Plan in Terara. Saturday 10am – 1pm. Bookings essential.

- Justice of the Peace services

Local Government Week runs from 4 to 10 August and is designed to showcase the work councils do in their communities, including the wide variety of services they provide.
