Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged a man over his alleged role in stealing and supplying vehicles to Organised Criminal Networks, including in an alleged kidnapping conspiracy.
On Thursday 27 February 2025, officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command witnessed three men wearing balaclavas running from a car in North Parramatta.
During a subsequent search of the car, police located mobile phones, duct tape, flexi cuffs and a baseball bat.
The matter was referred to State Crime Command's Raptor Squad who commenced Strike Force Drever to investigate.
Three men have since been charged for their roles in an alleged conspiracy to kidnap and remain before the courts.
In May 2025, State Crime Command established Taskforce Falcon to oversee a number of strike forces – including Strike Force Drever – to investigate potential links between violent crime in Sydney.
As a result of ongoing inquiries, Taskforce Falcon detectives identified a 21-year-old man as having direct involvement of the stealing and supply of a Haval vehicle to be used in the kidnapping.
Detectives will further allege the man also stole a Bentley and Rolls-Royce worth over $800,000 in March 2025.
All three vehicles have since been recovered.
About 9.20am yesterday (Monday 23 June 2025), a 21-year-old man was arrested at a correctional centre in Silverwater and charged with aggravated break & enter commit serious indictable offense-in company-steal etc >$60K, take & drive conveyance without consent of owner, receive/dispose stolen property-minor indictable offense >$5000.
He was remanded in custody to appear in Parramatta Local Court the same day.
