Tasmania's international trade value has grown by more than triple the national average year on year.
Tasmania's international exports in the 12 months to September 2026 grew in value by 17.6 per cent. By comparison, the Australian average grew by 5.4 per cent over the same period.
The total value of goods export in this period was $5.36 billion, an all time high
Minister for Small Business, Trade and Consumer Affairs, Guy Barnett, said the Tasmanian Government had a clear plan to grow trade and the State's exporters were benefitting.
"Tasmania has spent decades strategically cultivating what the world wants alongside our globally renowned brand," Minister Barnett said.
"We are seeing the world respond as a result."
Tasmania's largest ever trade delegation is currently in key Asian markets looking to continue to grow this significant number.
"We are taking Tasmania to the world and laying our premium goods and offerings at the doorstep of some of the biggest markets," Minister Barnett said.
"This sustained growth in value of trade goods shows why these missions are so important.
"Through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, I look forward to continuing to support our exporters."
