Michael Ferguson,Minister for State Development, Construction and Housing

Elise Archer,Minister for Workplace Safety and Consumer Affairs

Congratulations to all winners and nominees who were recently celebrated at the Housing Industry Association's Tasmanian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards.

The awards recognise the best of Tasmania's building industry, celebrating excellence in building, design, innovation and sustainability.

In particular, congratulations to In2Construction Services for winning the HIA-CSR Tasmanian Home of the Year Award for its stunning building on Bruny Island.

Our building and construction industry is a vitally important part of our economy and there is no doubt the industry has come through the pandemic strongly, supporting thousands of jobs and our economy through one of the most difficult periods in memory.

And despite building activity being at record levels, we don't expect it to stop any time soon with over a billion dollars' worth of work sitting in the pipeline.

We will continue to support the sector to give it the certainty and confidence it needs to create more jobs and opportunities for young Tasmanians.
