The Tasmanian Government is actively monitoring the changing circumstances in the National Electricity Market which has seen market notices published on the AEMO website this afternoon.
I can confirm the notice that relates to Tasmania has since been cancelled.
Accordingly, there have been no underlying supply issues evident in Tasmania and there is more than sufficient generation available in Tasmania to meet Tasmanian demand.
The Tasmanian Government is continuing to work with the Australian Energy Market Operator and other jurisdictions on a daily basis.
While the market pricing across the NEM is highly volatile, there have been no underlying supply issues evident in Tasmania.
