Tasmania's Plan Working, Unemployment Remains At Record Lows

Liberal Tasmania
  • Guy Barnett Deputy Premier, Treasurer, Attorney-General, Minister for Justice, Member for Lyons
  • Tasmania has maintained its record low unemployment, with the latest Labour Market Data showing the unemployment rate at 3.9 per cent.

Treasurer, Guy Barnett, said our plan is working and we need to finish the job.

"That's 47,700 new jobs created since March 2014," The Treasurer said.

"Our economy is now worth a record $40.6 billion, an increase of $8.5 billion or a massive 26.3 per cent, since we came to Government.

"This election comes down to one choice: a strong Liberal team with a real plan or another merry-go-round of chaos and compromise.

"A majority Liberal Government is the only way to keep Tasmania moving forward with certainty, stability, and efficiency.

"Let's get on with it and finish the job, for Tasmania."

While Labor and the Greens argue, we've been delivering better healthcare, more housing, and responsible cost-of-living relief.
