Waikato Police investigating a death involving a train at Te Awamutu railway station are encouraging those who were present and those who may need it to seek support.
Detective Sergeant Harry Hodgson says Police urge those who witnessed the incident to contact Police.
"This is a tragic incident, and we know that it will be distressing, Victim Support is available if needed."
Police continue to support whānau through this difficult time.
Waikato Police are also appealing to anyone who may have footage of the incident to contact us.
"We understand there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have footage that can assist in our investigation."
