Teacher charged over child abuse material in Forster

A teacher has been charged over the alleged possession of child abuse material on the state’s Mid North Coast, NSW Police say.

Following investigations, detectives from Manning/Great Lakes Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Head Street, Forster about 10.20am today.

During a search of the home, police allegedly located and seized a laptop computer and a USB thumb drive which were secured for further analysis.

A 59-year-old man was arrested and taken to Forster Police Station where he was charged with three counts of possess child abuse material, and two counts of disseminate child abuse material.

The man was refused bail to appear at Forster Local Court tomorrow.
