Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged a teacher with alleged child abuse offences in Sydney's east.
On Friday 5 September 2025, detectives from State Crime Command's Child Abuse Squad Central Metropolitan, conducted a search warrant at a home in Randwick.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with serious child sexual assault offences and remains before the courts.
During the search, detectives seized three mobile phones for forensic examination.
Police allegedly discovered an exchange between the 35-year-old man and a high school teacher from June 2024 and July 2025, plotting the alleged sexual assault of two children known to him.
Following extensive inquiries, about 8am yesterday (Wednesday 14 January 2026) detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Bondi.
A 63-year-old man was arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station.
He was refused bail and charged with two counts of aggravated sex assault-offender in company with other/s (DV) and use carriage service-solicit child abuse material.
He was refused bail to face Bail Division Local Court 7 today (Thursday 15 January 2026).
