Teachers Charged With Assault - Monaro Region

Four educators have been charged following an investigation into the alleged assault of three school aged children at a school in the Queanbeyan area.

In November 2025, detectives from Monaro Police District commenced an investigation into the alleged actions of four staff members regarding the assault of three boys aged 9, 10 and 11 – at a Queanbeyan school between January 2024 and December 2025.

Following a multi-agency investigation involving Queanbeyan detectives and officers from the Department of Community Justice (Queanbeyan) and the NSW Department of Education, four staff were charged with assault:

  • A 63-year-old woman, charged with one count of assault,
  • A 46-year-old man charged with three counts of assault,
  • A 65-year-old woman charged with one count of assault, and
  • A 38-year-old man charged with one count of assault.

All four are expected to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Tuesday 21 April 2026.

None of the four are currently working at the school.
