Teen charged following St KIlda affray

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a teenage boy after three men were allegedly assaulted and robbed in St Kilda on 1 December, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told three men were walking along the foreshore about 11.15pm when they were approached by a group of males.

It is alleged the group, unprovoked, began to assault the trio, punching and kicking them.

One of the victims, a 24-year-old Burwood East man sustained a broken nose and facial bruising.

The second victim, a 26-year-old Wheelers Hill man was kicked in the head and suffered lacerations to his face.

Both men were taken to hospital.

The third victim, a 20-year-old Vermont South man sustained minor injuries but declined treatment.

A 17-year-old North Melbourne boy was arrested and charged with violent disorder, affray, five counts of assault, robbery and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

He will appear at a children’s court today.

A number of males are still wanted in relation to the incident as the investigation continues.
