Teen Charged for Multiple Break-Ins: NSW Strike Force Sweetenham

Detectives from Strike Force Sweetenham have charged a teenaged boy with 30 offences relating to alleged break, enter and steal offences in Sydney's west.

In November 2023, officers commenced an investigation into a number of break-in targeting commercial premises, predominantly in the Nepean Police Area Command.

Following inquiries, officers arrested a 16-year-old boy just after 5.00pm yesterday (Monday 18 December 2023), at Burton Street, Werrington.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with:

  • Aggravated break and enter and steal in company (11 counts),
  • 5 counts of break and enter with intent,
  • 12 counts of face blackened/disguised with intent to commit an indictable offence
  • Participate in criminal group and contribute to criminal activity, and
  • Deal with property proceeds of crime.

The boy was bail refused to appear before a children's court today (Tuesday 19 December 2023).
