Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a teenage boy in relation to a fatal collision in Hoppers Crossing Friday morning.
With assistance from the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), detectives arrested a 17-year-old from the Wyndham area yesterday.
He has since been charged with culpable driving causing death and other driving offences.
He was remanded and will appear before a children's court.
The charges follow the death of a 15-year-old boy from the Wyndham area just after 12am on Friday 13 March.
Police allege a stolen grey Skoda sedan was pursuing a Toyota sedan at speed along Derrimut Road.
It is alleged the Skoda deliberately collided with the rear of the Toyota, before colliding with a Ford sedan and Ford Ranger.
The Skoda, which had seven teenage occupants onboard, rolled before coming to rest in the front yard of a nearby residence.
The 15-year-old boy was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
A 16-year-old girl from the Wyndham area sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
A 16-year-old girl from the Wyndham area was arrested at the scene, interviewed and released pending further investigation.
A 14-year-old boy from the Wyndham area later presented to a nearby hospital where he was arrested.
He was interviewed by investigators and remanded on matters not related to the collision.
It is believed four occupants of the Skoda fled the scene and investigators are working to determine their identities.
Officers located and seized an edged weapon at the scene and a quantity of alcohol inside the vehicle.
The Skoda is alleged to have been stolen from Yellow Box Street in Maidstone between 11-12 March.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing.
