Teen hospitalised after stabbing - Shalvey

A teen has been injured following an incident at Shalvey this afternoon.

About 4.40pm (Tuesday 2 February 2021) officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command attended Piccolo Way following reports that a 14-year-old boy had been stabbed.

Witnesses have told police they heard a scream and noticed a number of young males involved in an altercation.

Police have been told several males entered a white car and left the area.

The injured teen was treated at the scene and taken to The Children's Hospital, Westmead suffering stab wounds to his arms.

He remains in a serious but stable condition.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing.
