Teen in critical condition after single-vehicle crash at Liverpool

A teenager is in a critical condition following a crash involving a stolen van in Liverpool yesterday.

About 7.35pm (Saturday 30 March 2019), officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called to Elizabeth Drive, near Anastasio Road, Liverpool, following reports a Toyota HiAce van had left the road, flipped through a fence and landed in the backyard of two houses.

One of the occupants of the van, a 15-year-old boy, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Three other occupants of the van were arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

Police have been told the other occupants of the vehicle, including the driver, fled the scene on foot prior to police arriving.

The two houses sustained minor damage and no injuries to occupants were reported.

A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist police attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigations Unit.
