Emergency services attended Woodlands Park Railway Station after a teenager was hit by a train tonight.
Police, MFS crews and paramedics were called to the railway station at Edwardstown about 6.40pm on Thursday 24 October by reports a pedestrian had been struck by a train.
A police patrol arrived and rendered first aid to the teenage girl until paramedics arrived.
Emergency services worked together to free the girl from under the train. She was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre by ambulance in a critical condition.
Alternate transport was organised for train passengers while the line was shut down.
The rail corridor has since reopened.
