A teenage girl has been charged over an alleged stabbing in the state's west over the weekend.
About 6.30pm on Friday 7 November 2025, emergency services were called to a supermarket in Arthur Street, Wellington, following reports of an assault.
On arrival, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District found a 15-year-old girl with stab wounds to her leg, arm and hip.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Hospital in a stable condition.
A knife was located nearby and seized.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, a 17-year-old girl was arrested at Wellington Police Station about 4pm yesterday (Sunday 9 November 2025).
She was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal).
The girl was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Monday 10 November 2025).
