Teenage pedestrian killed in Narrabri

A teenage pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle in Narrabri last night, NSW Police say.

About 8.45pm yesterday, emergency services were called to Doyle Street near the intersection of Nandewar Street, after reports an 18-year-old man had been struck by a utility.

He was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Narrabri Hospital; however, died a short time later.

Police have been told the man was struck by a Toyota Hilux, being driven by a 17-year-old boy, south on Doyle Street.

The driver of the Hilux was not injured. He was taken to Narrabri Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
