Two teenagers will face court following an alleged vehicle theft and pursuit in Sydney's south west today.
Shortly before 8.30am today (Friday 22 May 2026), officers from Liverpool Police Area Command were patrolling on Humphries Road, Bonnyrigg, when they saw a green BMW SUV being driven dangerously.
When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated, with the assistance of PolAir.
The pursuit continued through multiple suburbs including Mount Annan, and Camden Bypass, before it turned onto the north of the Camden Bypass.
About 9.30am, the vehicle allegedly failed to stop after colliding with an SUV on Campbelltown Road, Campbelltown.
A short time later, the vehicle came to stop at a carpark near Lithgow Street, Campbelltown, where two occupants abandoned the car and left the scene on foot.
The two boys – aged 15 and 16 – were arrested nearby.
They were taken to Campbelltown Police Station where the older boy was charged with robbery in company, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, unlicensed for Class, Class C, R, LR,or MR, and three counts of not give particulars to other driver.
The younger boy was charged with robbery in company and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
Police will allege in court that the vehicle was stolen from Elizabeth Hills earlier today.
They were both refused bail to appear at Children's Court tomorrow (Saturday 23 May 2026).
