Teens charged following investigations into sexual assault, NSW

Two teenagers have been charged following investigations into an alleged sexual assault that occurred in 2015, NSW Police say.

It is alleged that on Tuesday 22 December 2015, a then 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by two teens, then aged 15 and 16, at a house in Salamander Bay.

The incident was reported to Port Stephens Local Area Command and an investigation was commenced.

Following ongoing inquiries, two teenage boys were arrested yesterday.

They were taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station and both were charged with aggravated sexual assault in company.

The teens were granted conditional bail and will appear in children’s court on Wednesday 14 June 2017.
