Teens interviewed after Southbank fire

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have interviewed two teenagers following a suspicious fire in Southbank this week.

Investigators arrested two male youths, a 13-year-old from Little River and 15-year-old from Safety Beach, at Southern Cross Station yesterday afternoon.

They were both released and are expected to be charged on summons with arson.

The arrests relate to a building fire on Clarendon Street just after 4pm on Thursday.

No one was inside the abandoned warehouse at the time of the incident, however the building sustained extensive damage.

Police also expect to charge the teens with a series of thefts, robberies and an attempted armed robbery in Melbourne's CBD in recent weeks.
