Telstra will be upgrading its mobile base station that services Killingworth to bring new 5G coverage to the area.
To provide the additional capacity to the site required for 5G, they also need to upgrade the radio transmission link from Mount Dorothy.
Mobile services in the area will be temporarily affected while the upgrade works are underway.
The mobile sites will need to be switched off during the following periods:
- Tuesday 29 July - Thursday 31 July, Killingworth and Mount Dorothy offline
- Tuesday 5 August - Friday 8 August, Killingworth offline
- Monday 11 August - Friday 15 August, Killingworth offline
Telstra mobile customers will receive texts advising of the upcoming work.
Landline services, NBN internet services, and mobile coverage from other providers will not be impacted.
