Ten Territory Projects have Hooked a Rec Fishing Grant

Monday 6 December

Seven Territory-based, not-for-profit organisations have been granted funding for ten projects under the Territory Government's Recreational Fishing Grants Scheme.

The scheme funds projects which lead to new recreational fishing opportunities.

This includes through the development of infrastructure; better recreational fishing experiences; a vibrant, accessible, inclusive recreational fishing community, or which support best practice for sustainable fishing and stewardship in the Territory.

There were two grants available to recognise the social and economic value of recreational fishing:

$15,000 for Small Grant Projects$100,000 for Priority Large Grant Projects.

The successful applicants are:
