Tender awarded for Wandarrah Reserve amenities building

Local footballers will welcome a new amenities building costing $450,000 at Wandarrah Reserve in Mount Annan after a tender was accepted for the works at last night's ordinary meeting.

The works will follow Council's alterations of the existing canteen which is nearing completion.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli said the new building will be a great addition to Council's facilities for local footballers.

"Council is focused on providing high quality sporting facilities for the community and this project allows residents and visitors to use an up-to-date facility," Cr Fedeli said.

"As the Camden area continues to grow with up to 100 people moving into the region on a weekly basis, so does sport participation and it is important to continue working with the community to provide these facilities.

"Council is also busy working on Stage 1 of a multi-million-dollar premier cricket facility on Ferguson Land and also Narellan Sports Hub Stage 2, further cementing Camden as the sports mecca of south west Sydney."

Construction works for the new amenities building are scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2021, weather permitting.
