- Tender released for new two-storey teaching block featuring nine general learning area classrooms
- Construction works expected to commence in early 2027
The tender for the expansion of Riva Primary School has been released, marking a significant milestone in the delivery of new teaching facilities for the school community.
A new two-storey teaching block will be delivered, featuring nine general learning area classrooms, one specialist classroom, staff amenities, storage and a conference room.
The tender is anticipated to be awarded in early 2027. Designed by Zuideveld Marchant Hur Architects, the project is focused on providing modern, purpose-built learning spaces to support the school's future needs.
Construction of the new teaching block is expected to be completed in mid-2028, with the removal of at least six transportable classrooms and the construction of new hardcourts to replace the existing courts anticipated to be completed in early 2029.
This major upgrade at Riva Primary School forms part of the Cook Labor Government's record investment of $6.4 billion in education infrastructure across Western Australia.
