On behalf of the Tasmanian Government, I thank Mr Kirwan for his service to the Royal Flying Doctors Service over the past seven and a half years – a period of extraordinary hard work, commitment, and dedication which has benefitted the lives of Tasmanians living in rural and regional areas enormously.
I personally thank Mr Kirwan for his time and expertise while CEO of the RFDS, particularly through the COVID-19 pandemic where he played a vital role in the rollout of our vaccination program and also for his very valuable and considered input in discussions concerning mental health at our Mental Health Council of Tasmania forums.
The Government looks forward to continuing our good working relationship with the RFDS and its new CEO once appointed.
I wish Mr Kirwan all the very best as embarks on a new chapter of his life.
