Theft in fast lane - sprint car stolen from Scoresby

Knox Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of a sprint car and trailer from Scoresby earlier this week.

Investigators have been told the trailer carrying the racing car was stolen from outside a premises on Stud Road, Scoresby, overnight between Saturday 24 July and Sunday 25 July.

It was last seen being towed by a grey Toyota SUV through the rear of the Morack public golf course in Vermont South about 8.30am on Sunday.

Police have released images of the distinctive vehicle and trailer, both of which have the racing number "94" on their side.

Detectives have also released an image of the vehicle seen to be towing the trailer after the theft.
