Theft of Lexus in St Albans

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of a champagne coloured Lexus four-wheel drive in St Albans last week (15 February).

Detectives believe a man stole the vehicle from a carpark near an E Esplanade business about 5pm on Friday.

A 24-year-old male passenger was sitting in the back seat of the car at the time.

The offender pulled over shortly after stealing the vehicle and told the victim to get out.

The man did not sustain any injuries.

Later that day, the same vehicle was involved in a collision on Bulla-Diggers Rest Road, in Diggers Rest about 6.45pm before being dumped on Terror Street, Keilor Park.

No one was injured during the collision.

The unknown male offender is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance with short dark hair.

He was wearing a brown t-shirt with writing on the front and dark coloured shorts.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
