Thief uses stolen credit card in Ashburton

Boroondara police are appealing for public assistance to identify a thief who used a stolen credit card in Ashburton on 23 May.

Police have been told a credit card was stolen from a car parked in a garage in a laneway off Warrigal Road at the rear of a Laundromat on High Street about 4.30pm.

The male offender then fled the scene on a bicycle.

The victim's credit card was used later that day at a supermarket on Warrigal Road in Ashburton.

The male made two transactions valued at more than $100.

Police have released an image a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
