Thief uses stolen credit card in Aspendale Gardens

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a thief allegedly using a stolen credit card in Aspendale Gardens last month, Victoria Police say.

It is believed a purse was stolen from a car parked on Jalta Court in Keysborough between 10pm on 16 August and 6.45am on Thursday 17 August.

The victim’s credit card was then used the same morning at a convenience store on the corner of Wells Road and Edithvale Road in Aspendale Gardens just before 7am.

The offender purchased more than $100 of items and was last seen walking down Wells Road.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid 20s, 180cm tall with a medium build.

He was wearing a grey hooded jumper with a black hood, black shorts and black runners.

Police have released an image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
