Thieves take classic cars in Coburg burglary

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after two classic vehicles valued at over $100,000 each were stolen during a burglary at a factory in Coburg earlier this week, Victoria Police say.

The Holden Commodores, a 1990 HSV VN Group A sedan and a 1983 Holden VH Group 3 model, were taken from a factory on Charles Street sometime between 4.45pm on Sunday and 8am the following morning.

It is believed unknown offenders fled the scene in a black SUV which was used to tow the vehicles away.

Police are seeking assistance to locate the vehicles which are of great sentimental value to the owner.

The 1990 Commodore is burgundy in colour has no plates on it, while the 1983 model is white and displays club plates 289-22H.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
