The 17-year-old Bell Park girl was arrested this morning and subsequently charged with affray, robbery, assault with intent to rob, assault in company, assault by kicking and commit offences whilst on bail.

She was remanded to appear before a children's court at a later date.

Two other girls, a 17-year-old from Grovedale and a 16-year-old from Whittington, were arrested yesterday and charged with a number of offences including robbery and assault.

Both were bailed to appear before a children's court at a later date.

The charges follow an incident near the Geelong waterfront sometime between 7.30pm and 8pm on Saturday 23 October.

Police will allege a number of girls approached a 15-year-old girl and made demands for her mobile phone before seriously assaulting her.

The offenders stole her phone and the victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
