Third man arrested after aggravated burglary in Glenroy

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives and specialist police units have today arrested a third man following an alleged aggravated burglary on a house on Augustine Terrace in Glenroy about 4.30am on 1 June.

It is alleged three men, two of whom were armed, entered the house and stole keys to a BMW before fleeing in the stolen car.

The house occupants, two men and a woman in their 30's were unharmed.

A 20-year-old Glenroy man was arrested about 11.40am this morning following a search warrant at an address in Bindi Street, Glenroy.

He has been charged with possess ammunition and possess cannabis and bailed to appear before Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court on 29 October.

Police also arrested a 27-year-old Glenroy man and a 40-year-old Broadmeadows man on 1 June in relation to the incident.

Both men were charged with home invasion with a firearm, aggravated burglary, theft of motor car and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

They were remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' court on 2 June.
