Third man charged after multiple break and enters at Wagga Wagga

A third man will face court today after being charged over the alleged aggravated break-ins of five businesses across Sydney earlier this year.

In June this year, detectives from the State Crime Command's Robbery and Serious Crime Squad established Strike Force Holmhale to investigate several aggravated break and enters in various suburbs across Sydney.

So far during the investigation, detectives arrested two men – aged 36 and 37. They were charged and remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, a 35-year-old man was transferred from a correctional centre in Junee to Wagga Wagga Police Station about 10am on Tuesday 9 September 2020.

The man was arrested and charged with five counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal.

Police will allege in court that the man was involved in multiple robberies across Sydney, where cigarettes and cash valued at $250,000 were stolen.

The man appeared at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 9 September 2020, where he was formally bail refused to appear at Central Local Court today (Thursday 15 October 2020).

Investigations under Strike Force Holmhale continue.
