Third person charged after death of Kobie Parfitt

Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad have today charged a third person following the death of Ballarat woman Kobie Parfitt.

A 35-year-old man, who is currently at a correctional facility, was charged with one count of murder.

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court at a later date.

Two other people have also been charged with murder in relation to Kobie's death.

A 32-year-old woman, who is at a correctional facility, was charged last month and a 31-year-old Wendouree man was charged in December.

Police located human remains in a mine shaft in Snake Valley on 22 December while they were searching the area as part of the investigation into Kobie's disappearance.

Kobie, 43, had last been seen alive at a property on Hickman Street on 28 April.

The investigation remains ongoing.
